Developed in the 1960s on behalf of the CIA, it served the Air Force, NASA, and the USAF as a strategic long-range reconnaissance aircraft. With a breathtaking speed of Mach 3.5 and a cruising altitude of 26,000 meters, it was virtually invisible to radar systems of the time. A total of 32 aircraft were built, which were retired by the end of the 1980s. Today, its role is carried out by modern reconnaissance satellites and drones.

A Model Full of Details

The building set consists of 1,424 pieces that faithfully reproduce the characteristic features of the original.
