With the "Army Set: Khazalite Holds" you receive a mighty fighting force of the Khazalid Holds for Warhammer Age of Sigmar. What is an Army Set:
Army sets are extensive release boxes that combine a complete selection of miniatures with the appropriate faction rules and additional game aids. They often accompany the release of a new Warscrolls or Codex and offer a particularly comprehensive introduction to the respective faction.
They are ideal for players who want to start a new army or expand an existing collection with new units and current rules. By combining miniatures, rules, and reference cards, you get all the important components for your new army project in one box.
Many army sets also contain special editions of the included books with exclusive cover art. This makes them appealing not only to players but also to collectors who want to secure a special edition of the respective faction rules.
What is Warhammer Age of Sigmar:
Warhammer Age of Sigmar is a tabletop strategy game by Games Workshop set in the Realms of Mortal Men. The setting combines classic fantasy elements such as dragons, Orruks, Duardin, trolls, noble knights, undead armies, dark sorcerers and mighty monsters with divine wars, ancient realms, powerful magic and cosmic forces.
Players collect and paint miniatures, assemble them into armies and lead them against each other in tactical battles on the tabletop. Each faction has its own units, abilities, playstyles and background stories, making every army feel different.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar can be played in individual battles, narrative campaigns or tournament formats. Rulebooks, Warscrolls, expansions and other game aids add new possibilities, scenarios and tactical challenges to the game.
Background:
The Khazalid Holds are ancient communities of Duardin who built their mighty fortresses deep beneath the mountains of the Realms of Mortal Men. Behind massive gates, they preserve the traditions of their ancestors, honour their Ancestor Gods and hold fast to a way of life defined by craftsmanship, duty and unyielding pride.
For the Khazalid, no debt is forgotten and no wrong is forgiven. Defeats, lost fortresses and the deeds of their enemies are remembered for generations until the day comes when an old grudge can finally be settled. Skaven and the servants of Chaos in particular have left deep wounds in the history of the Duardin and stand high on the long list of their enemies.
Many of their once mighty fortresses were lost during past wars or fell to enemy powers. But the Khazalid do not consider these places permanently lost. They venture out into the Realms once more to reclaim what belonged to their ancestors and fill ancient halls again with the sound of smithing hammers, chants and the names of their forebears.
When the Khazalid Holds go to war, they do so with the same determination with which they carve their cities into the rock. Their warriors rely on heavy armour, masterwork weapons and unyielding unity. Every reclaimed place, every slain enemy and every settled grudge is more than a victory to them – it is another piece of restored honour.
