British 6-pounder Anti-Tank Gun - Mobile Anti-Tank for Commonwealth Forces
The QF 6-pounder was introduced to the British Army in North Africa in April 1942 and saw action shortly thereafter. In the battles for Gazala, it quickly proved its worth, being effective against Axis armour at usable combat ranges and offering significantly stronger anti-tank performance than earlier British guns.
During the Second Battle of El Alamein, the 6-pounder also demonstrated its power. It was light enough to be moved into cover by its crew, could maintain a high rate of fire, and remained effective for extended periods due to improved ammunition.
On the Bolt Action tabletop, the 6-pounder can be used as a Medium Anti-Tank Gun in Artillery Platoons. It can be towed by most vehicles and provides British and Commonwealth armies with a reliable answer to enemy tanks and light vehicles.
The kit includes a gun sprue that can be used to build either the British 6-pounder or the US 57mm M1. Additionally, standard or folding carriage trails for airborne troops are included. The crew sprue contains four crew members in British mid- to late-war uniforms, appropriate heads, arms, equipment, grenades, and shell casings for base detailing. The fourth crew member can alternatively be used as a Platoon Commander, Spotter, or an additional infantry miniature.
Also included are British and Canadian decals, one 60mm base, one 25mm base, and a Bolt Action order die.
A versatile artillery set for Bolt Action - ideal for British armies, Commonwealth forces, and players who want to bring reliable medium anti-tank with flexible build options to the tabletop.
