Contents:
This set contains all the necessary parts to build 6 Cataphractii Terminators with power fists of the Legiones Astartes for Warhammer The Horus Heresy, as well as suitable bases.
The models are made of plastic, unpainted, and require assembly.
Background:
Cataphractii Terminators wear one of the earliest variants of Terminator armour, developed for operations where even heavy power armour is insufficient. The Cataphractii pattern is uncompromisingly focused on protection. The broad, slab-like shoulders and massive armour plates are designed to withstand fire that would instantly bring down other warriors. Additionally, supplementary energy shielding systems make the wearer even more resilient.
This protection comes at a price. The pattern is heavy and cumbersome, with significantly restricted mobility. Nevertheless, precisely this combination of maximum resilience and reduced speed was in demand during the great wars of that era, especially in assaults on fortified positions and in close-quarters combat where endurance is more crucial than speed.
