Contents:
This set contains all the necessary parts to build 2 Falchion or 2 Ascalon Super-heavy Tanks for the Legiones Astartes in Warhammer Legions Imperialis, as well as appropriate bases. Also included is a transfer sheet with 1130 transfers.
The models are made of plastic, unpainted, and require assembly.
Background:
The heaviest tanks of the Legiones Astartes fulfil various roles, with the Falchion and Ascalon representing two sides of a coin of victory. The Falchion is a super-heavy tank hunter, built on a Fellblade chassis and centred around a twin-mounted Volcano Cannon. Legions deploy it when Titans, bastions, or floating mountain fortresses need to be breached. Its shots tear glowing swathes through armoured lines, reduce field fortifications to dust, and decide battles across continents long before ordinary guns even come within range. Where Falchions roll forward, a breakthrough of entire armoured thrusts often follows, as few war machines survive more than one direct hit from this weapon.
The Ascalon is a sister configuration on the same massive hull, yet its nature is that of the purifier. Instead of armour-piercing singular volleys, it carries an infernal main weapon of titanic calibre that engulfs entire city sectors in raging firestorms. These torrents of flame sweep over trenches, consume bunker complexes, and vaporise cover until only charred silhouettes remain. While the Falchion targets enemy behemoths, the Ascalon burns away the masses, clearing battlefields where Astartes can deliver the final blow. Together, they embody the doctrine of the Legiones Astartes: to end war with overwhelming precision and sheer destructive power.
