Kill Team: Shade Troop
Contents:
This multi-part plastic kit contains the 11-piece Astra Militarum Shade Troop for Kill Team. The team consists of 10 soldiers and one vox-relay signal operator. Additionally, various tokens are included to assist you in deploying the team.
The soldiers of the Shade Troop are highly trained snipers and infiltrators specializing in stealth, ambushes, and precise attacks. Their light armor and camouflaged cloaks allow them to move through dense or difficult terrain without being detected prematurely. Once a favorable opportunity arises, they unleash an explosive arsenal against their opponents.
The kit offers various options to equip the troop with specialists and heavy weaponry. For conventional firefights, the Shade Troop can carry a rapid-fire machine gun, among other things. You can also choose between a plasma gun and a melta gun. Blinding star flares not only serve the Shades to illuminate the battlefield but can also use their dazzling light to stun enemies and prepare an attack.
On the tabletop, the Shade Troop is particularly suitable for players who prefer deliberate positioning, stealth, and prepared ambushes. Instead of overwhelming the enemy in a direct frontal assault, the team uses terrain, distractions, and surprise attacks to eliminate key targets. For collectors and painters, the troop with its camouflage cloaks, light armor, special weapons, and numerous pieces of equipment offers many opportunities for individual color schemes and weathered operational aesthetics.
Scope of delivery:
- 10x Shade Troop soldiers
- 1x Vox-relay signal operator
- various Kill Team tokens
- suitable bases
- assembly instructions
Note:
The miniatures are made of plastic, unpainted, and require assembly. Glue and paints are not included. Suitable bases are included.
What is Kill Team:
Kill Team is a standalone skirmish game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Instead of large armies, it focuses on small, specialized task forces carrying out secret missions, infiltrating enemy positions, or fighting for vital objectives in deadly close-quarters combat.
The setting combines the grim science fiction of Warhammer 40,000 with fast-paced, tactical engagements in confined spaces. Elite soldiers, Xenos warriors, Chaos agents, veterans, commandos, and other specialists clash in Killzones filled with ruins, industrial facilities, spaceship wrecks, or alien constructs.
Players assemble a Kill Team of a few miniatures, utilize cover, objectives, equipment, and special abilities, and play short, intense matches. Kill Team is particularly suitable for players who want to experience Warhammer 40,000 on a smaller scale, with a lot of character per model and a strong mission focus.
Background:
The mighty armies of the Astra Militarum are known for their endless infantry regiments, heavy tanks, and devastating artillery barrages. However, not every mission can be solved by mass and firepower. Some targets must be eliminated before the enemy even realizes that Imperial soldiers are nearby.
Shade Troops are deployed for such missions. Their soldiers are experienced snipers, scouts, and saboteurs who can advance even through dense terrain without revealing their position. Concealed beneath their cloaks, they observe enemy movements, mark targets, and patiently wait for the decisive moment.
When they strike, it is swift and well-prepared. Blinding star flares disorient the enemy, demolition charges tear apart fortified positions, and precise shots hit officers or heavy weapon teams. Even their more powerful weapons are used specifically to eliminate vehicles, elite warriors, or other tough targets before they can unleash their full strength.
For ordinary Astra Militarum soldiers, the operations of the Shades often remain invisible. They only see burned-out positions, eliminated sentries, and a suddenly open path through enemy territory. The troop itself has usually already moved on by this time, waiting in the cover of the terrain for its next target.
