This set contains all the necessary parts to build 1 Leviathan Siege Dreadnought for Legiones Astartes and Heretic Astartes for Horus Heresy.
The set includes the following equipment options: 1 Storm Cannon, 1 Cyclonic Melta Lance, 1 Graviton Flux Bombard, 2 Heavy Flamers, 2 Twin-linked Volkite Calivers, and 1 Phosphex Discharger.

This kit is compatible with the Leviathan Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon Set.

The model is made of plastic, unpainted, and requires assembly. Base (1 x 80mm) is included.

Background:
Developed under the strictest secrecy not on Mars, but on Terra, the Leviathan is an alternative evolution of the highly successful Contemptor. The resources required to produce one are immense, perhaps even matching those of an Imperial Knight.

They were supplied to the Legions in limited quantities before the outbreak of the Horus Heresy and were highly prized and recognized as extremely powerful siege and hunter-killer units. They placed a severe and ultimately fatal strain on their occupants, and the Leviathan, in its second life, burned brightly but briefly. Many within the Mechanicum were deeply troubled by its design, viewing it as purpose-built to surpass or even destroy the Mechanicum's own Battle-Automata in a future, unforeseen crisis or confrontation.

During the Horus Heresy, Loyalists with access to Terra were able to acquire new Leviathan Dreadnoughts, though never many, while Traitors and isolated forces were limited to carefully husbanding their few Leviathans or scavenging the remains of the fallen from battlefields to bring them back into service.
