This set contains all the necessary parts to build 1 Leviathan Dreadnought for the Legiones Astartes for Horus Heresy.
Both arms can be assembled as either claws or siege drills. It can also be equipped with heavy flamers or twin-linked volkite calivers.

The Leviathan can also be used in Warhammer 40,000.

The model is made of plastic, is unpainted and needs to be assembled. A base is included.

Background:
The Leviathan was developed in deepest secrecy not on Mars, but on Terra, and is an alternative development of the highly successful Contemptor. The resources required to produce such a machine are immense, perhaps even matching those of an Imperial Knight.

They were provided to the Legions in limited quantities before the outbreak of the Horus Heresy and were highly valued and recognized as extremely powerful siege and hunter-killer units. They placed a heavy and ultimately lethal strain on their occupants, and the Leviathan, though burning brightly in its second life, burned only briefly. Many in the Mechanicum were deeply disturbed by its design, seeing it as purposefully intended to surpass or even destroy the Mechanicum's own combat automata in a future, unforeseen crisis or conflict.

During the Horus Heresy, Loyalists with access to Terra were able to acquire new Leviathan Dreadnoughts, though they were never many, while Traitors and isolated forces were limited to carefully husbanding their few Leviathans or scavenging the remains of the dead from battlefields to bring them back into service.
