Contents:
This set contains all the necessary parts to build 2 Miao Ying, the Storm Dragon of Grand Cathay for Warhammer The Old World, as well as suitable bases.
The following miniatures are included:
- 1x Miao Ying in human form
- 1x Miao Ying in dragon form
The models are made of plastic, unpainted and require assembly.
Background:
Miao Ying is the Storm Dragon, the Dragon Emperor's eldest living daughter. As the supreme matriarch of Nan Gau and Castellana of the Great Bastion, she rules over the northern provinces and has for centuries held back the incursions of the forces of Chaos and marauding Hobgoblins. Her appearance is cool and aloof, yet her sense of duty to protect the empire is absolute.
She is a warrior and sorceress of immense power. In battle, she takes the form of a human woman, with sparks of arcane energy coursing over her skin, or she rises as a noble dragon, whose sight makes enemies' hearts freeze. The storms obey her will, and the scholars of Nan Gau revere her mastery over the elemental winds.
In a time of upheaval, the Dragon Emperor sends an expedition westwards. Miao Ying leads this force across the seas into the Old World to support a beleaguered civilization against the darkness. Traders and envoys from Cathay have long been a common sight in Marienburg, but a Dragoness appearing personally at the head of an army is extraordinary.
Her story intertwines court intrigues, ancient rivalries among dragon children, and the constant vigilance at the Wall of the North. As the Lady of Nan Gau, she must not only repel external enemies but also keep the proud princes and guilds of her realm in harmony. Thus, the Storm Dragon remains the tough heart of the Bastion and the gaze incessantly fixed northwards.
