This set contains all the necessary parts to build 1 Spires Pteraphon for Conquest, as well as matching command cards, bases and stands.

The model is made of plastic, is unpainted and needs to be assembled.

Background:
One of the earliest and most successful applications of biomancy in the art of war, the Pteraphons were originally developed by the Spires as dragon slayers. The folly of their deeds was revealed when the Elder Dragons awoke and thwarted their efforts. The Directorate, however, was not known for wasting resources. So they refined their efforts and repurposed the suit, removing most of its nervous system and instead turning it into a symbiotic “suit” that grants its wearer the ability to fly and enhanced senses. Of course, the added neural strain of the alien musculature and sensory organs requires unsafe amounts of synaptic enhancers, almost always leaving their unfortunate pilots as miserable, dependent souls. Nevertheless, many consider this a fair price for the glory of flight and the perspective of a god. Although the mass and offensive power of the original design have been reduced, they were originally designed to fight dragons and as such remain a formidable weapon of war against all mortal enemies.

Gameplay: 
As an aerial observer and long-range support unit, the Pteraphon significantly improves the Spire player's view of the battlefield. Whether by firing volleys at vulnerable targets far behind enemy lines or marking enemy regiments to reveal their positions – the Pteraphon serves as your “eye in the sky”!
