Shading Medium from the Warhammer Tech Pro range by Games Workshop is essentially a colourless paint in an 18 ml pot. This reduces the pigment density of Warhammer Tone-Pro paints without altering their flow and surface properties.

At a glance

  • Contents: 18 ml
  • Range: Warhammer Tech Pro
  • Use: Mixing with Warhammer Tone-Pro paints
  • Effect: Inks and washes from any Tone-Pro paint

How to use

  • A little medium – thins the paint to an ink that flows into the recesses
  • More medium – creates a wash, a semi-transparent filter for subtle lightening, darkening or altering
  • Several thin coats – for smooth transitions
