What is a Core Set / Starter Set:
Core Sets and Starter Sets are particularly beginner-friendly boxes that make starting a tabletop system easier. They typically include miniatures, rules, and practical gaming accessories, allowing new players to get started faster without having to gather all components individually.

Such sets are particularly suitable for beginners, returning players, and players who want to try a new system. Since they often contain two forces, initial games can be played directly. At the same time, the included miniatures provide a good foundation for gradually expanding a collection.

Core Sets and Starter Sets are also interesting for experienced hobbyists, as they often contain a strong core for new army projects, additional units, or exclusive or new miniatures. Thus, they are not only the first step into the game but often also a really good kick-off for the next big hobby project.

What is Warhammer 40,000:
Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop strategy game from Games Workshop, set in the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium. Players command armies of mighty factions against each other in tactical battles, using miniatures, terrain, and dice to implement their strategies on the battlefield.

The game combines tactical decisions with an extensive background world full of heroism, heroes, alien threats, and ancient conflicts. Each faction has its own units, abilities, play styles, and background stories that shape the gaming experience.

The core rules form the foundation of the game and are supplemented by faction-specific rulebooks, campaign books, and expansions. This allows players to engage in both individual battles and extensive narrative campaigns, constantly expanding their armies.

Background:
In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, humanity knows no peace. The Imperium fights on countless fronts against alien empires, traitors, daemons, and innumerable other horrors. At the forefront are the Space Marines, genetically enhanced warriors in mighty power armor, who are deployed as living weapons of the Imperium into the most dangerous battles.

However, not every threat can be contained with discipline and superior firepower. The Orks rampage across the galaxy in massive, noisy hordes, driven by a lust for battle, brute strength, and the joy of maximum destruction. Where their Waaagh! energy swells, individual looters quickly become unstoppable warbands.

When Space Marines and Orks clash, iron resolve and brutal savagery collide. Bolter fire hammers against green hordes, chainswords shriek, Orks bellow with exhilaration, and every meter of the battlefield becomes a struggle for survival, glory, and total annihilation.
