Squigs are round, tooth-gnashing beasts from the Greenskin fungal family tree, somewhere between animal and fungus. They grow in damp caves and refuse pits, eating everything from carrion to equipment, and are used by Grots and Orks for almost anything: as food, as pets, as living ammunition, and in larger breeds, even as mounts. Some types are tiny and scurry through camps, others, like Cave Squigs, pounce on anything that moves, and the truly massive ones grow into colossal Squiggoths. In Greenskin culture, well-bred Squigs are seen as a sign of both status and fun, which is why there are quirky variants like Hair Squigs, Colour Squigs, or even "Face-Eaters." They are characterized by oversized jaws with dagger-like teeth, a springy, muscular body, and an unpredictable temperament that oscillates between amusing and life-threatening. In short: Where Squigs are, there is chaos, laughter, and often a snack for later.
