Assault Squad Type IV
Contents:
This multi-part plastic kit contains 10 Legiones Astartes Assault Marines in Mark IV 'Maximus' power armour for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Each warrior is equipped with a jump pack, bolt pistol, and chainsword, making them ideal for rapid assaults, brutal close combat, and quickly eliminating key targets.
Assault Marines bring speed and aggression to your Legiones Astartes army. With their jump packs, they traverse terrain, quickly close in on the enemy, and plunge into close combat where their chainswords inflict the most damage. This makes them an excellent fit for armies looking to build pressure, threaten flanks, and tie up the enemy in their own formation.
The set also includes 10 power lances, allowing you to alternatively build the models as a Veteran Assault Squad. Additionally, two power fists and power claws are included for special squad members, enabling you to make individual fighters stand out visually and in gameplay. For painters, the dynamic poses, jump packs, weapons, and Mark IV armour components offer ample space for Legion colours, battle damage, exhaust effects, and dramatic battlefield aesthetics.
Scope of delivery:
- 10x Assault Marines in Mark IV 'Maximus' Power Armour
- appropriate bases
- assembly instructions
Note:
The miniatures are made of plastic, unpainted, and require assembly. Glue and paints are not included. Appropriate bases are included.
What is The Horus Heresy:
The Horus Heresy is a tabletop strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, approximately 10,000 years before the wars of the 41st Millennium. It focuses on the galactic civil war in which the Imperium's Space Marine Legions are divided between Loyalists and Traitors.
The setting combines grim science fiction with ancient tragedy, imperial megalomania, and the downfall of a golden age. Primarchs, Legions, war machines, Titans, traitors, fanatical loyalists, and massive fleet wars define this era of betrayal.
Players lead Legions and forces from the 31st Millennium against each other in grand battles. The Horus Heresy is particularly suited for hobbyists who love epic warfare, Space Marine Legions, detailed background stories, and the tragic fall of the Imperium.
Background:
Assault Squads were the blade that fell from the sky. While Tactical Squads held firelines and tanks broke the front, Assault Marines, with howling jump packs, surged across the battlefield to exploit weaknesses, storm enemy positions, and tear apart foes in close combat.
Clad in Mark IV 'Maximus' power armour, these warriors combined speed with the resilient war machinery of the Legiones Astartes. Their attacks were rarely subtle. They arrived as blazing impacts, accompanied by the shriek of chainswords, the bark of bolt pistols, and the brief terror of those enemies who looked up too late.
During the Horus Heresy, Assault Squads became feared tools of the civil war. Loyalists and Traitors alike deployed them to decapitate command posts, breach defensive lines, and force bitter close-quarters engagements where the enemy was most vulnerable. Each drop was a testament to the brutal truth of that era: the Legion wars were won not only with bolters, but also with blade, momentum, and ruthless determination.
