The Warpaints Fanatic John Blanche Masterclass colours were developed together with the legendary artist John Blanche and are aimed at anyone who wants to paint miniatures with an expressive, dark and distinctive look. The shades are ideal for gritty fantasy, grimdark science fiction, gothic settings, weathered armour, striking characters and narrative miniature projects.
The colours are based on The Army Painter's premium Warpaints Fanatic acrylic formula. They offer strong opacity, intense pigmentation and pleasant, controlled handling. Thanks to the premium resin base with special stabilisers, the colours can also be heavily thinned without losing pigment distribution. This makes them suitable for both classic base coats and glazes, layering, contrast work and atmospheric transitions.
Each colour is part of the Flexible Colour Triad System. Within a colour family, several shades build harmoniously on one another—from dark shadows to lighter highlights. This makes it particularly easy to plan and achieve natural colour transitions, targeted highlights and atmospheric effects.
Warpaints Fanatic is beginner-friendly enough for a quick start, reliable enough for the gaming table and versatile enough for experienced painters. The John Blanche Masterclass colours combine this modern acrylic formula with a distinctive artistic approach: colours for miniatures with atmosphere, texture and history.
